Consultation Services
Strategic Planning – LPC consults with nonprofit organizations and public agencies to develop a strategic plan. We provide training on the strategic planning process, facilitate the process, and draft the plan. Finally, LPC presents flexible options for both modest and comprehensive planning processes.
Capacity Building – LPC’s organizational philosophy is to build capacity, both internally within our own company and externally with client organizations and partners. We want to leave clients with an enhanced understanding and appreciation of evaluation, to achieve new comfort with collecting and analyzing data, to use data to inform decisions, and to help clients be a better consumer of consulting services.
- LPC trains and provides technical assistance to program clients so they will be better consumers of evaluation consulting services.
- LPC engages program participants in evaluation activities, as advisors, in focus groups for data interpretation, or to present findings in public venues.
- LPC hires and trains students in pursuit of college credit in research, and regularly retain a high school student each summer to learn more about the evaluation research field.
- LPC helps develop capacity among our staff and clients in the course of our work.
Needs Assessment - LPC conducts needs assessments for programs to develop new services or to periodically assess service needs and gaps. Needs assessment reports generally include:
- Statement of need
- Identification of service gaps
- Description of service capacity
- Detailed analysis of population needs and characteristics
A needs assessment may be the basis for developing part of the logic model.
